Ariana Turner

I am a lifelong story enthusiast based in Portland, Oregon. I hold a PhD in Personality Psychology and an MS in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University, where I studied how people make sense of their lives through story.

For the past several years, I have worked at the intersection of psychology, education, and personal meaning—exploring how the stories we tell about ourselves shape our identity, well-being, and capacity for change. At Georgia Tech, I taught a story-driven approach to learning that helps people reflect, connect, and author their life stories with intention.

My research on narrative psychology has been published in leading academic journals, including The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology and Narrative Inquiry. My work across teaching, coaching, research, and workshops is guided by a simple belief: when we understand our stories more clearly, we become better connected to ourselves, others, and the world around us.
